Crafting with my little one
10 minutes a day,
5 days out of 7 :
it's my resolution for 2013

Just some of the materials from the rodeo mini-refill kit!

Here are some pictures of the new rodeo themed mini-refill kit! A great way to spend spring break with your little ones!
I have changed the layout of the crafting guide to make it even easier for care givers. At the start of the binder is an index with bigger pictures of the crafts so your little one can pick out which one they would like to work on. Each double page now contains the instructions, flat materials, list of materials needed from the box and several pictures.

Who knew you could make a petting zoo with just your hand prints?!

So these boots were not made for walking but they’re very pretty hanging in a window!

Don’t forget to bring a cheeky attitude when you make this hand stamped cowboy neckerchief!

It’s my favourite time of year in Houston - rodeo! All the boots, cowboys and funnel cake a girl could want! Naturally we have been rodeo crafting. And stay tuned in the next few days for the launch of a rodeo mini-kit just in time for spring break!
Happy rodeo y’all!

We’re baaaaack!! Happy Valentine’s day! We made these for the girls’ classmates. I did the jar and letter stamping and the girls did the stickers. Getting back into the swing of crafting after a 5 week break.

Here is our final craft for the year which means…we did it! My resolution to craft with Syl for 10 minutes a day, 5 days out of 7 is complete!! It may be the only resolution I have ever kept!! I gave Syl free range of the craft closet to choose whatever materials she wanted to decorate this “thank you” sign.
Materials: card stock, paint, jewels, buttons, glitter, glue, stickers
Prep: printing out “thank you” on card stock
Source:
Notes: We wanted to say “thank you” for following the blog last year! And I am thankful I had the time and resources to undertake this resolution. I’m excited about where this is headed in 2014. I plan to continue the blog this year but with more of a business focus. For the time being we are taking a break from crafting while we visit family and friends in Australia.
Uses: to say thanks!

I was happy to find lots of Aussie crafts on Pinterest - we just ran out of time to do more of them before we departed! Materials: card stock, paint
Prep: cutting out kangaroo silhouettes
Source: michaels.com
Notes: I gave the girls a few paints in the sunset color range but obviously too much red as these are more kangaroos hopping past Uluru than kangaroos hopping into the sunset artworks!
Uses: portfolio / gifts

Well it wouldn’t really be me if I actually posted our final few crafts for the year on a timely basis now would it?! These activities were inspiration for our trip to Australia where we are now!
Materials: paper bag, card stock, googly eyes, craft glue
Prep: drawing platypus features and cutting out
Source: daniellesplace.com
Notes: Syl’s (right) looks like a baby platypus with its arms and legs all curled up! Wait for glue to dry before trying to use as a platypus puppet!
